Please read the following items on your first visit:
PLA Parts: most of our products are printed from PLA (Polylactic Acid) which is a polyester thermoplastic that will provide you years of service when cared for properly. Do not clean any PLA item with harsh chemicals such as acetone or other strong organic solvents. Use only isopropyl or denatured alcohol sparingly. PLA is also susceptible to extreme heat (above 140F/60C) and prolonged exposure to UV light. If you are unsure of what your product’s material type is, check the product page or the paper insert/labeling that come with the product.
PETG Parts: anytime we use parts that utilize PETG, the product insert and product web page will specify. PETG (polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family. It is most commonly used for plastic soda bottles. While PETG does not have the same tendencies to dissolve when using harsh chemicals such as acetone, we still advise against using it (or other types of gun cleaners). Specifically toluene and methyl ethyl keytone (MEK) will harm PETG.
California Proposition 65: all of our PLA and PETG printed items do not have chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer. Product packaging and shipping materials may vary depending on manufacturers and may be known to the State of California to cause cancer.
